Deaths in attack in the Turkish 🇹🇷 capital

In Ankara, there was an attack on the premises of a Turkish aerospace company, according to the government. There are dead and injured.

According to government sources, there were "dead and injured" in an attack near Ankara. The "terrorist attack" was carried out on the premises of the Turkish Aerospace Company (TUSAS), Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on the online service X.

An explosion followed by gunshots could be heard on a video recording. The area was cordoned off, and the company's employees were brought to safety in a bunker.

The Turkish Aerospace Company is a developer and producer of aerospace systems such as fighter aircraft and drones. TUSAS has helped develop prototypes of the Turkish Kaan fighter aircraft, among other things.

Ankara's mayor Mansue Yavas also stated on X that he was shocked by the terrorist attack and expressed his condolences.
