Rapper Ye, commonly known as Kanye West, has gone on an over 20-hour long X rant. He expressed his antisemitic, homophobic and sexist views to his 32 million followers on the social-media plattform, calling himself a Nazi, saying he loved Hitler and demanding the release of rap-mogul P. Diddy.

"I love Hitler" and "I'm a Nazi"

Ye's tweets included the statements "Hitler was sooooo fresh"and "I'm a Nazi." His posts caused great dismay among his fans, most of them saying they were "done defending Kanye."

Other statements from the 47-year-old rapper included “I HAVE DOMINION OVER MY WIFE THIS AINT NO WOKE AS FEMINISH S**T, "I TURNED DOWN 3 PHOTOS THISWEEK WITH MAKE A WISH KIDS INWHEELCHAIRS" and I’m going to normalize talking about Hitler they way talking about killing n****s has been normalized.”

West also referenced X owner and White House advisor Elon Musk’s repeated use of a Nazi-like salute at the inauguration event for US-President Donald Trump last month that was widely criticized (Musk responded to critics by saying they “need better dirty tricks”).

Bizarre appearance at the Grammys

The rapper had already been facing controversy for a couple of days after he showed up to the Grammys with his partner Bianca Censori, who undressed and revealed a skin-coloured dress, appearing almost naked. The couple then proceeded to leave the event.

Kanye had been diagnosed with autism

In a podcast interview earlier this week, Ye claimed that he’d recently been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) after his wife said she thought his previous diagnosis of bipolar disorder was incorrect.

West was trying to rebuild his career

West had been trying to rebuild his music and fashion career in 2024, following his massive downfall in 2022-2023 after his spree of antisemitic hate speech in multiple interviews. Following these incidents Kanye was dropped by the Gap, Adidas, Balenciaga and his agents at CAA and his social media accounts were suspended or revoked in a fallout so wide-ranging that the former — and according to him, again — billionaire said in February of last year that he nearly went bankrupt.
