Barcelona demolishes Real Madrid in the top match and convinces once again with a strong performance- with this win they secure the top spot ahead of Real!

It was that time of year again -  "El Clásico" is full of rivalries and traditions and important for every football fan. This time, Madrid was the host in its impressive stadium, the Santiago Bernabeu. Real could catch up with Barcelona with a win, the Catalans were at the top of the table with 3 points more, with a win they would extend their lead further.

Real starts the match well, even if they are still a bit shaky. In the 2nd minute Mbappé gets his first opportunity, in a 1-on-1 with Iñaki Peña (Barcelona's goalkeeper) he misses the 1-0, but in the end the chance is counted as offside. In the 12th minute, the next offside chance follows for Mbappé, this time he finishes from far away.  In the first 15 minutes, Barcelona still had problems against a well-structured Real Madrid, the physical defense didn't let anything through, Yamal only got through once, the shot landed between the fists of Lunin (Real Madrid). In the 30th minute, Mbappé scored with a lob, but the goal was disallowed due to offside. At halftime, the score remained 0:0, Real was offside too often and players like Vinicius, Mbappé or Bellingham were able to go 1v1 more often. The Catalans simply couldn't find a way through Madrid's defense.

141 seconds after the break, Real was shocked. After Barcelona became more dominant, Casado grabbed the ball, ran, and passed it perfectly to Lewandowski. The Polish striker finally kept his cool and scored to make it 0:1, his first Clásico goal, and an important one. Real left far too much space between the opposing attackers and the midfield chain, so Casado had room and ran far forward without any problems.  In the 56th minute, Lewandowski scores with a header to make it 0-2, converting a brilliant cross from Alejandro Balde. Lewandowski remains in great form, he has the most goals in LaLiga. Real's defense is a little sleepy again, Lewandowski is free to head the ball, Militao really needs to get his bearings better. Real tries to get back into the game, Mbappé has good chances, but he misses. In the 65th minute, he scores what appears to be 1-2, but as so often that evening, he is offside. The Catalans are still on the attack, however, and Lewandowski hits the post in the 66th minute, only having to push the ball into the empty net. It is becoming more difficult for Real Madrid to take full risks in attack, because otherwise they open up at the back. Bellingham and Mbappé miss important chances, they have to score goals in situations like this. The next blow for Real comes in the 77th minute.  After a good goal kick from Pena, Barcelona is wide awake, they outplay Real and Yamal hits the top corner, 0:3, the young star scores. Raphina, who recently scored a hat trick against Bayern, extends the lead even further in the 84th minute, he lobs the ball into the goal. Long balls and quick counterattacks are causing problems for Madrid, today they are done for.

In the end, Barcelona wins 0:4, Real is accordingly angry and disappointed. The defense needs to stay more alert, but in the end, at least one goal is missing. It is the first Clásico victory for coach Hansi Flick. He has really reshaped Barcelona, they are now more consistent in finishing and make better decisions in important situations.
