North Korea criticizes US for planning an Asian NATO

North Korea has criticized the United States because of an agreement with Japan and South Korea to strengthen their military, saying it is part of a US plan to create an Asian NATO. North Koreas foreign ministry spokesperson put it like this: "The reality clearly shows that the real purpose of the US spreading the rumor about a 'threat from North Korea' is to provide an excuse for attaining military supremacy over the Asia-Pacific region. The prevailing situation more urgently calls for building up the country's defenses to actively cope with the rapid aggravation of the security environment."

"The deterrence capabilities of the Japan-US and US-Republic Of Korea alliances need to be upgraded as part of the essential effort to strengthen the trilateral partnership between Japan, the US, and ROK," Japans Prime Minister said. 🇰🇷🇯🇵🇺🇸 North Korea warned it would also strengthen its military, as a response to the meeting. Japans Prime Minister also said that it is important to do anti-missile drills. North Korea also claimed that the NATO meetings and the meeting with Japan and South Korea where part of a plan to contain China and Russia by die militarisation of Europa. The country also warned that the supposedly reckless movements of the US could cause a nuclear war in the South Pacific or Europa.
