The Shene group , fleeing from security forces, is threatening civilians in the western part of Wollega. In the Oromia region, civilians were massacred. "We mourn the loss of our citizens," said the Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed. The OLA is repeatedly denying the accusation and blamed the countries military. The OLA responded to the statement of the Prime Minister with: "Two divisions of the ENDF (Ethiopian National Defense Force) along with allied forces are occupying the towns of , including Machaara where civilians were killed en masse by the regime's militias as security forces did nothing. The regime thinks it can just point fingers & escape accountability." In the past year the OLA has been accused of multiple attacks. In 2021 the OLA was designated a terrorist organization. There is no official deathtoll yet. In Ethiopia the 2nd Civil war is still raging on.
