The UN welcomes Russian ceasefire

The UN welcomes Russia 🇷🇺 ordering a complete ceasefire in the war in Ukraine. Russia said they would have a 36-hour long ceasefire because of the Russian-Orthodox 🎄. UN Spokesman Stéphane Dujarric said:

"Christmas represents a holy period for both Russians and Ukrainians. The possibility that this holy period be respected with a cessation of all hostilities is always welcomed by the Secretary General, knowing that this will not replace a just peace in line with the UN Charter and international law."

The UN urges an end to the war in Ukraine 🇺🇦.

Whereas Dennis Pushillin, pro Russian leader of the self declared 📜 Donezk People Republic said this on Telegram: “This does not mean that we will not respond to the provocations of the enemy."

Russian separatists will continue attacks eventho Pitin has called for a ceasefire.

Ukraine does not welcome the ceasefire, fearing it to be a trap.
