In the sex crimes trial against Sean Combs, the rapper was found partially guilty, the jury at the New York court announced.

Former rap superstar Sean "Diddy" Combs was partially found guilty today in his trial for conspiracy to commit racketeering and sex trafficking. The jury reached this decision after more than 13 hours of deliberation, according to consistent media reports from New York.

The 12 jurors acquitted Combs of sex trafficking and organized crime, charges that could have put him behind bars for life. The jury, comprised of four women and eight men, convicted
him for coercion into prostitution because, among other things, he had girlfriends and male sex workers he paid flown across the country for sexual performances.

Despite deliberating for three days, they were unable to reach an agreement on one of the most important charges: the charge of organized crime. This disagreement was explained in a memo to the judge. According to New York criminal law, a defendant is not found guilty until all jurors have reached a consensus, but this was clearly not the case.
The sentence for Combs, who has been in custody since September, will be announced at a later date by Judge Arun Subramanian.
New York prosecutors accused "Diddy" of coercing, abusing, and threatening women for years to fulfill his sexual desires. He allegedly secretly created a criminal empire with his helpers. During the trial, which lasted several weeks, several women recounted how they were physically abused for years. Combs, or "Puff Daddy, " pleaded not guilty.

Born in Harlem in 1969, rapper Sean Combs rose to global prominence during his lifetime after founding his own music label, "Bad Boy Records." P. Diddy discovered superstars like Usher, The Notorious BIG, Justin Bieber, and Mary J. Blige. During his trial, his family and rapper Kanye West showed their support for Combs.
