Hostages and prisoners to be freed: "The release of the Israeli hostages will begin on Monday morning," the country's hostage coordinator told the captives' families in a text message Saturday night. The deadline for their release ends at Monday noon. Israel will also release hundreds of Palestinian prisoners and detainees under the ceasefire agreement.


Trump travels to Middle East: US President Trump is expected to travel to Israel on Monday and address the parliament there. After that he will visit Egypt and hold a summit on Gaza with leaders from more than 20 countries, including ones like France's President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

Palestinians head back to their homes: Amid the ceasefire agreement,Palestinians have been returning to northern Gaza. Many find their houses and possessions destroyed.


Boos for Netanyahu: On Saturday night, thousands of Israelis gathered in Tel Aviv's Hostage Square for a huge rally. Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner and US special envoy Steve Witkoff addressed the crowd, along with former hostages. As Witkoff mentioned the US president, thunderous applause and roars of approval could be heard, whereas when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's name was uttered, loud boos were voiced.


Aid for Gaza in masses: According to Egyptian state-affiliated Al-Qahera News,400 aid trucks carrying food, medical supplies and fuel were expected to enter southern Gaza on Sunday. As many as 600 of such trucks are allowed into Gaza every day as part of the peace agreement, said Israeli security officials. The UN agency for Palestinian refugees said on Saturday that it had enough food to supply the entire population in Gaza for 3 months.
